JEE MAINS
JEE- Joint Entrance Examination is one of the most prominent engineering entrance exam in India.
It is conducted in two phases from 2019. The First phase of exam is conducted in month of January followed by second phase in April month. This exam is a door for all engineering aspirants, to open this door one needs to secure a good rank in JEE MAINS and JEE ADVANCED. The former is conducted by NTA- National Testing Agency and later is conducted by one of the seven zonal IITs.
- National Testing Agency(NTA) has been established as a premier,specialist,autonomous and self -sustained testing organization to conduct entrance examinations for admission in higher educational institutions.
- To assess competence of candidates for admissions and recruitment has always been a challenge in terms of matching with research based international standards,efficiency,transparency and error free delivery.
PAPER PATTERN: JEE MAIN exam have 3 subjects -Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics.Each section will be given equal weightage with 20 MCQs and 5 numerical question and total marks for JEE MAIN is 300.
SYLLABUS:
- All chapters and topics which are covered in NCERT books of grade 11 and grade 12 is assigned as the syllabus of JEE MAINS.
QUALIFYING CRITERIA:
JEE MAIN result is announced separately for both January and April phase . After first phase of JEE MAIN in January , NTA is too fast , the agency announces the results with in 10 to 15 days . After the first phase students are allowed to give second phase too if they are not satisfied with their performance or due to any reason they were not able to appear for the exam. After the successful completion of April phase combine result of the two phases is announced and best of the two percentiles is considered as the final percentile.
Every year cut-off is announced with the result considering all categories GEN-EWS,GEN, OBC,ST,SC and pwd.
